The legendary NBA superstar, Pau Gasol, told me when he was the captain of the Los Angeles Lakers, said, Robin, it's so easy to make someone happy. It's so easy to make someone happy. Just go to a restaurant, for example, and give a genuine compliment to someone and their eyes light up. Or go back the next day. and leave them a simple gift with a handwritten thank you note. You're in a taxi. Do something nice for the taxi driver. You're staying at a hotel. Go to a Starbucks. Come back with a tray of croissants and coffee for the front office staff. If there's someone who has helped you, a mentor for example, write them a note. Let them know how they've helped you. It is so easy to make someone happy. It just starts with the intention of leaving people better than you found them.
