Become a Magic Hunter

Robin Sharma Season 1 Episode 1232

To savor the simple and generally overlooked blessings of your life is to deploy an antidote to fear, apathy and scarcity. To awaken your senses to the subtle magic around you that too many good souls are too busy being busy to give attention to is to heighten your aliveness while amplifying your lust for living. And produce a constant stream of joy, peace and freedom that causes you to live your highest life. Lifting all around you with you, in the process.

In my latest book The Wealth Money Can’t Buy, I share a model that has been transformational for my clients called “The 8 Forms of Wealth.” I believe that while money and financial security is a form of wealth, there are 7 other forms of riches that include personal growth, health and wellness, adventure and curiosity and family plus friends. Without experiencing all of these we miss out on knowing our richest life. Go ahead and read it here.

Life is an adventure. And so as you strip away stagnation and complacency, and as you start to notice the small or large graces in your life, and as you become what I call a magic hunter, looking for little acts of magic or opportunities for ecstasy and enchantment in your days, you start to fill your life with a currency that money can't buy. And guess what it is? It's enthusiasm, it's optimism, it's cheerfulness. Born of adventure. Even when you fall, it's an adventure. Read a great book, it's an adventure. Say yes to the most difficult project at work that will disrupt your domain. It's an adventure. Make a new friend by having a conversation with a stranger. It's an adventure. Try a new type of food. It's an adventure. If usually you're a runner, go to a yoga class. It's an adventure. If you usually live in New York City or maybe it's Mumbai or maybe it's Cape Town or maybe it's Tokyo or maybe it's Stockholm or maybe it's London, why not go live inIceland for a year? Why not go try Australia for a year or maybe New Zealand? So go ghost for a year. Leave your phone if you can. Leave your world if it's possible. and just take a few books and learn MVP and get really fit and detect your values and write out your 50-year future and then come back after a year born anew.
