Every action has a consequence. Every action has a consequence. And even if no one else sees it, you see it. You see your conscience or your higher self or your heroic self, they're all the same thing. It's the voice of wisdom and heroism and bravery and courage and kindness and love within you. It sees everything that you do. And many people fall into the ditch of thinking if I cut corners, if I hold back, if I don't really give myself to this project. If I reserve some love in this relationship, if I am unethical, if I just check it in and mail it forward, if I don't do the job to the best of my ability, the boss won't know or the organization won't know or my intimate partner won't know. And that may be true, but the wisdom in the highest part of you will know. And the more you betray yourself, and please hear me on this, I say with deep respect, the more you betray your greatest self, the more you start to fill with self-hate. And the more self-hate you have, the more you will not be able to bear being alone with yourself. And so what are you gonna do? You're gonna try to escape yourself and the pain of your potential and wisdom and love and generosity unexpressed. And you will escape into addictions. Might be alcohol, might be drugs, it might be digital addiction, might be entertainment addiction, might be exercise addiction, might be overwork addiction, eating too much, shouting too much, gossiping too much. It might be crisis-oriented living, which you should read about because some people are so traumatized, and I'm not at all judging, I have lot of empathy for this, but they've experienced so much trauma that when there is safety and peace, They actually create crisis in their lives and blame it on the world, but subconsciously they're creating the crisis for themselves because they are familiar with the state of crisis and peace is foreign and therefore scary.
