No matter what you do, do it like a pro. All work can deliver wow. All labor has dignity. And how you show up as you work either lifts everyone you meet up - or brings them down. Every moment in front of a customer is a chance to model the best of what is human. Why miss this heroic chance?

All work has dignity. There are no extra people on the planet. I find it interesting you can walk into a cafe and nine people can be checked out looking at their devices, not really present. They treat you like a number versus a human being. But there's always that one person, sparkle in their eye. Take pride in their work. They make your whatever you drink, a latte. They make it with great care and with great skill. You know, a lot of people say there's no opportunities, but there's always that one person just following through on that barista example. And rather than going home and playing with their phone, they read about coffee making. They study the great masters. And then what do they do? They say, hmm, I'm going to start my own business. And they start shooting videos about making great coffee. And they get better and better in their skill. And the videos go viral. And then they start getting invitations from other coffee shops in their community to put on demonstrations and they start getting paid for it and their videos go even more viral. Then they write a book on world-class coffee making, which becomes a number one New York Times bestseller. And then they say, I'm going to start my own cafe. And then they franchise it or grow a hundred or a thousand different branches. While the other baristas cross their arms and say, in entitlement, I'm in a dead end job. Life, help me. People should do something for me and they're wasting their time. They're all about CBE versus what? APR. Victims are about complaint, blame, and excuse. Leaders are about APR, absolute personal responsibility. So I want you to see your work as an opportunity to pursue your craft.
