A walking meditation. For so many of us, our minds are working like a five alarm fire. We are stuck in the past, we are living in the future, we are masters of the worried mind. A walking meditation each day in nature, ideally, will allow you to start the training process of focusing in the present moment. And the more you can train yourself, it is a practice and you get better at the things that you practice, and the more you can walk and count your steps, for example, and every time your mind goes to work or goes to a relationship challenge or goes to something that you're stuck on in the past, gently and gracefully bring your mind back to counting your steps. This is one of the most powerful tools I can offer you to really have some serious emotional healing. And you can count your steps or you can simply while you're walking, keep training your mind to focus on the trees and focus on the sunshine and focus on the flowers and be in the present moment.
