Book a Micro-Adventure Every Week
Too many wait until they are too old to do the things they’ve always dreamed of doing.
...they take Mediterranean cruises when they can hardly walk.
...they set off on adventures to Bali that exhaust them quickly
...they buy things they’ve always wanted from shops they’ve rarely visited yet can hardly enjoy them.
I’m in no way disrespecting older people. I respect all elders greatly. So please don’t send me a complaint. I won’t read it. And I absolutely agree with you that it’s never to late to start anew. We are certainly on the same page here.
I’m just making this point: postpone not your hearts most precious desires.
Don’t assume the future will be a place where everything you’ve put off because you’re really busy right now can happen easily, effortlessly and wonderfully.
And when you think about your days and adventures and possibilities and opportunities from this viewpoint, well then you live…more to the point.
This is what my latest book The Wealth Money Can’t Buy is all about. Real wealth versus fake success. True winning versus spending your life climbing a mountain, only to find out at the end that it was the wrong one. You can order it now by clicking here.
The weekly micro-adventure. Get this onto your blueprint for a beautiful week. It could be Friday afternoon, four o'clock. You do go to an art gallery. Your micro adventure could be you invite the chef of your favorite restaurant for a cup of tea. That goes on there. Maybe the next week your micro-adventure is to visit an interesting architectural building. in your city. Maybe your micro-adventure for the week after that will be to start to learn a new language. It could be Saturday morning at 8 o'clock. Your micro adventure is to go to a park you've never traveled through and to be fully present versus checking your phone or engaged in the past or in the future. But set a micro-adventure every seven days to reconnect you with that playful child who probably needs a lot of attention.
