All change is hard at first, it's messy in the middle, and it's gorgeous at the end. So you're trying something new, it's going to be hard. Just think about all the things you're now good at. Let's go to painting. Right now I'm not great at painting. So everything we start off initially, we're not good at, but everything we're now amazing at, we were once bad at. Really what I'm trying to say is the fact that change feels hard at first means it's valuable change. The message from the ego isstop. This isn't right for me. I can't do it. You start bumping up against all your resistances because that former part of you is dying. So it starts to scream. Stay with it. One of my favorite acronyms is KMF, Keep Moving Forward, Keep Moving Forward, KMF. So stay with the change and the change is gonna go from hard at first because all change, if it's worthwhile, is hard at first. It'll be messy in the middle. The former part of you is rewiring. Your brain is actually being rewired. Your emotional architecture is being rewired. The way you're living your days is being rewired. That's messy. It's almost like a home renovation. All change is hard at first. It's messy in the middle. You're going to feel like giving up. You're going to start being filled with self-doubt. That's not bad. That's change. KMF, steady gains. All change is hard at first, messy in the middle. It'll be so beautiful at the end. The more you stay with your commitment, because you are the kind of person who gets your commitments done, you are a promise-keeper, the ego will start to dissolve, and more and more the heroic self, the true part of you, the bravest, confident, most productive, free, authentic, high integrity self starts to take over. All change is hard at first, it's messy in the middle, it'll be beautiful at the end.
